Engage in Employee Volunteerism

Employee volunteerism isn’t just good for the community—it’s good for business. When companies empower their teams to give back, it fosters a sense of purpose, builds a stronger workplace culture, and deepens employee engagement.

At the Macie Jo Foundation, we offer meaningful volunteer opportunities that allow employees to directly support our mission: preventing hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and providing hope for families impacted by neonatal brain injury.

Why Employee Volunteerism Matters

Employee volunteer programs create a powerful ripple effect:

  • Boost Employee Morale & Retention – People want to work for companies that care.

  • Strengthen Teamwork & Leadership – Volunteering together builds trust and collaboration.

  • Enhance Corporate Reputation – Customers value businesses that demonstrate social responsibility.

  • Drive Real Impact – Your team’s time and talent can help save lives and support families.

Volunteer Opportunities with MJF

We provide flexible and impactful ways for employees to get involved—virtually, locally, or nationally.

  • Assemble Care Packages: Create comfort kits for NICU families or families managing long hospital stays. These packages bring relief and hope during challenging times.

  • Write Cards of Encouragement: Spread kindness with heartfelt messages to parents and caregivers. A few words can make an enormous difference.

  • Join a Virtual Awareness Campaign: Help raise awareness about HIE prevention through social media advocacy and digital outreach projects.

  • Support Events & Fundraisers: Volunteer at community events, awareness walks, and educational programs—or assist with event planning and promotion.

  • Offer Professional Skills: Does your team have expertise in marketing, design, tech, or finance? Lend your skills to strengthen our programs and operations.

How to Get Started

  1. Choose Your Opportunity – Select a volunteer activity that aligns with your team’s skills, schedule, and goals.

  2. Schedule Your Day of Service – We’ll work with you to plan a meaningful experience—on-site or virtual.

  3. Engage & Impact – Watch your team bond and feel the power of making a real difference.
