Willow experienced non-intractable status epilepticus at just 3 months old, which led to a severe hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).
She was a beautiful, loving little girl who found joy in the simplest things—being outside, spinning toys, cuddles, lights, and the magic of the Christmas season. She especially adored Disney’s Encanto, Moana, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Despite her challenges, she made incredible strides—learning to play with toys and even sitting with support for a full minute.
But in time, the damage to her brain became too much for her small body to bear. Willow passed away peacefully at home, in her mother's loving arms, on December 24th, 2024.
In her passing, she became a hero—donating her heart valves to help others.
